Alice Frick is an Austrian comedian, writer, actress, and producer based in London.
She began her stand-up career in Austria in 2006 after winning the “Grazer Kleinkunstvogel” award. Alice has appeared on several German TV shows (WDR, Comedy Central) and, after moving to Los Angeles, began performing comedy in English. In 2010, she relocated to London and founded “Laughing Labia,” an all-female comedy night designed to promote and support women in comedy. The show has been a sell-out success and was also available as a podcast for a season.
Alice is currently touring her latest show, “Live like a criminal.” In this show Alice flips the script on women’s safety. From debating outfit choices to making her own pepper spray, Alice eventually considers a life of crime as the only viable route to feeling safe. But while trying to decide what kind of criminal best suits her personality, she ends up with a real criminal record. Blending dark humour with sharp insight, “Live Like a Criminal” explores how society puts the burden of safety on victims, while the real causes of violence go unchallenged.
